UDS Enterprise 3.5 available for download

Virtual Cable has released a new version of its software for desktop, application virtualization, and remote access to devices. UDS Enterprise 3.5 is now available for download.

This release brings a lot of new features. One of the most important ones is remote access to macOS devices. In this way, users can remotely connect to devices running any of the three major operating systems (Windows, Linux, and macOS) regardless of which one they have on their computer.

UDS Enterprise 3.5 has achieved the Amazon Web Services official technical certification (AWS). It provides total reliability for managing and deploying Windows and Linux virtual desktops and vApp in the Amazon cloud. The software also integrates the support of NICE DCV high-performance protocol.

Thanks to the alliance with Nutanix, the Virtual Cable solution is compatible with its multi-cloud manager Prism Central, which enables a centralized and secure administration of all the components of the Nutanix hyper-convergence infrastructure.

Among other enhancements, we find the native integration of Office 365, which provides more security to the solution thanks to the possibility of managing all the devices of the users, the implementation of secure connections, and a higher level of access control. In addition, it optimizes the audio and video experience in conferences with Teams.

This new version also includes Wake-on-LAN technology, which allows remote power-on of physical equipment and scheduling of virtual machines startup. These increases energy efficiency and lifespan of devices, helping organizations become more sustainable.

Regarding cybersecurity, UDS Enterprise 3.5 offers new authentication systems –Radius authentication, expansion of federated authenticators through SAML, double and multiple factor authentication – and the new UDS Secure Tunnel, an in-house component that shields security and allows compliance with the highest security standards.

VDI Windows sessions in high availability (HA), improvements in remote assistance with VNC, new connection clients –Dell, HP ThinPro, IGEL, LeafOS (NComputing), Praim thin clients- a new monitoring system to optimize the allocation of resources or the detection of local sessions… These are just some of the other new features that UDS Enterprise 3.5 brings.
